Why a Yoto MYO card collection needs a storage system

Make Your Own (MYO) cards are the best part of the Yoto Player and Yoto Mini — you can load any audio you like onto a blank, credit-card-sized card. The catch is that they multiply fast. A dozen identical white cards in a drawer quickly becomes “which one is the bedtime story again?”

A simple storage and labelling system fixes two problems at once: it keeps the cards from getting lost or bent, and it lets your child pick their own card without help — which is the whole point of an independent Yoto.

Storage options for Yoto cards

Yoto MYO cards are 54 × 85.6 mm — the same size as a credit card (CR80) — so anything sized for trading cards or bank cards will hold them. The most popular setups are:

  • Card holders & wallets — keep a full set together and portable for the car or grandparents’ house.
  • Player docks — a stand that holds the Yoto Player or Mini upright with a few favourite cards within reach.
  • Display stands — angled racks that show card artwork like little book covers, so kids choose by sight.

We design and 3D-print all three here in Australia, sized specifically for Yoto cards and the Player and Mini.

Label your MYO cards so kids can self-serve

Storage solves where the cards live; labels solve which card is which. Printed artwork on each card turns a stack of blank white cards into a library your child can read at a glance — even before they can read words.

Our free Yoto Card Label Maker runs right in your browser: add a photo or pick a template, lay out nine labels per A4 or US Letter sheet, and download a print-ready PDF. No signup, and your images never leave your device.

Australian made and built to last

Everything ships from our workshop in Australia, 3D-printed to order. Because we make the parts ourselves, we can size them precisely to the 54 × 85.6 mm card and to the exact dimensions of the Yoto Player and Mini — a snug fit you won’t get from a generic card box.

Yoto card storage FAQs

What size are Yoto MYO cards?

Yoto MYO cards are 54 × 85.6 mm — the standard credit-card (CR80) size. Any holder, wallet or stand made for bank or trading cards will fit them.

How should I organise a big Yoto card collection?

Group cards the way your child reaches for them — by routine (bedtime, car, quiet time) or by character. A display stand keeps current favourites on show, while a holder or wallet stores the rest. Labelling each card with its artwork makes any system work, because kids choose by picture.

Can I print my own labels for MYO cards?

Yes. Our free Yoto Card Label Maker lets you design labels from your own photos or built-in templates and download a print-ready PDF — nine to an A4 or US Letter sheet. It’s free and runs entirely in your browser.
