Frequently asked questions

How do I know which prong style I need?

Count the prongs on your box's existing latch and match it. Most Milwaukee PACKOUT tool boxes use a 5-prong latch; some organisers and older units use 3, 4 or 7. Low-profile organisers use a dedicated low-profile latch, which loads automatically when you pick that box.

What do I actually receive?

By default you receive a print-ready STL file — a single, watertight 3D model of your customised latch that you can print on any FDM 3D printer. Don't have a printer? Request a printed copy via our instant quote and we'll print and post it to you in Australia.

How do the colours work on a downloaded STL?

An STL is a shape only, so the colours you pick are a preview of how it will look. On a single-colour print you can do a filament colour-change at the raised text layer to match the preview. If you'd rather not, request a printed copy and we'll produce it in the colours you selected.

Is the customised STL refundable?

Because each STL is generated uniquely from your design, digital files are non-refundable once delivered. If there's a genuine fault with the file, contact us and we'll put it right.
